Biography
Born in Florence in 1995, Bandinelli came through Fiorentina’s youth academy and, after three seasons with the Primavera side, moved to Serie B with Latina. There he immediately showed great personality, making 38 appearances over two seasons. In 2017/18, he stood out at Perugia, where he played a key role with 31 appearances and 1 goal, before joining Benevento the following year. He made an immediate impact, scoring a brace on his debut against Venezia, and went on to finish the campaign with 35 appearances, 6 goals, and a third-place finish with the Giallorossi.
It was with Empoli, however, where he arrived in the summer of 2019, that the midfielder wrote the most important chapters of his career. In his second season he celebrated promotion to Serie A, and over the following four years became a true cornerstone of Empoli’s midfield, two of those seasons spent in the top flight. He even earned the captain’s armband, making 126 appearances across all competitions, with 5 goals and 11 assists.
With more than 200 appearances in Serie B and 70 in Serie A, Bandinelli is an experienced player, known for his charisma and ability to combine technical quality with physical and tactical strength. A valuable playmaker with a keen eye for assists and a decent scoring touch, Bandinelli is now in his third season wearing Spezia’s colors.
