Biography
Born in 2001, Di Serio made his professional debut with Benevento in Serie B during the 2019–2020 season, which culminated in the Campania-based club’s promotion to the top flight. The following season, in Serie A, Di Serio made 16 appearances. After the “Streghe” were relegated back to Serie B, he remained in Campania for half the season before moving on loan to Pordenone, where he made 13 appearances starting in January.
In the 2022–2023 season, he joined Perugia, also in Serie B, where the forward played regularly, making 27 appearances, scoring 5 goals, and providing 3 assists. This performance convinced Atalanta to sign him to their Under-23 squad, where Di Serio continued to develop, racking up 21 appearances in half a season, 4 goals, and 4 assists, thereby earning a call-up from Spezia, who signed him during the January transfer window. In 10 appearances in the white jersey, he scored three crucial goals, becoming one of the most influential players in the team’s fight to avoid relegation.
