Enthusiasm skyrockets for the great return of Scuole al Picco, the format that Spezia Calcio has been dedicating to its very young fans for several years now and that this season can count on the Patronage of the City of La Spezia. Designed for elementary school classes, the basis of the project is the desire to educate the new generations through the promotion of the positive culture of sport, highlighting its values such as passion, loyalty, respect, fun and teamwork.
Through a path of discovery of the Spezia Calcio world, various topics such as civic education, environmental education, social education and inclusion are touched upon. Particular relevance also has the historical part, not only related to Spezia Calcio, but also careful to touch on themes and personalities of the city's history, always told in correlation with the sports theme. In this regard, thanks to the collaboration with the FITRAM Association, the very young students have the opportunity to delve into the history of public transportation, with vintage vehicles that will transport them to the stadium, to give them an experience that on the one hand allows them to wear even briefly the clothes of the fans of the past and on the other to deepen the importance of public transportation.
Protagonists of this first event were the children of the Pia Casa di Misericordia and Don Antonio Mori elementary school, who after being welcomed at the stadium reached the Distinti sector, where they gathered the testimony of Club Administrator Andrea Gazzoli, who told them about his own experience in the world of soccer, as well as the history of the Viale Fieschi facility.
The young pupils were then put to the test with a short quiz all about Spezia Calcio, earning numerous Spezia Calcio-branded gadgets, which filled with joy the approximately eighty youngsters who took part in the day at the temple of La Spezia soccer.
The event then ended with penalty kicks and a group group photo in the Curva Ferrovia, where the children experienced the thrill of treading the steps of the beating heart of the Spezia fans, singing the anthem "You are not alone" and admiring from above the panoramic view of the Alberto Picco. At the end of the day, new big surprise for the very young La Spezia fans, in fact all the participants of the project "Schools at the Picco" will be guests of the club in one of the next home matches, to experience the stadium also with the magical atmosphere that only La Spezia fans can give.
