On Sunday, following their 4–1 victory over Vado, Spezia Calcio’s Under-15 Women’s team, led by coach Elsa, were crowned regional champions of the LND Liguria league.
After a long season marked by commitment and determination, the young players capped off their campaign with a title that places them at the top of women’s football in Liguria. This achievement is a significant milestone for the club’s girls’ youth sector and stands as a testament to the work carried out by the organization and its staff in promoting and nurturing young female talent.
Coach Elsa shared her thoughts on the team’s accomplishment: “Our final match against Vado was simply the closing chapter of a journey these girls began at the start of the season. I want to thank them sincerely, they approached every challenge with grit and consistently worked with passion to reach this important goal, which I want to emphasize is a success shared by the entire women’s sector.
A heartfelt thank-you also goes to the entire women’s division at Spezia Calcio, beginning with our Youth Sector Director, Beppe Vecchio, whose support has allowed these players to truly show their worth. I also want to acknowledge the team managers, key figures in the day-to-day organization and management of the group, whose presence is essential. My gratitude extends to the entire technical staff of the women’s division, who, in my view, are a real asset to the women’s game.
These things take time, but the project is underway, it’s developing in the right environment, and we hope it will continue to grow. It’s a path being pursued with professionalism and dedication by Spezia Calcio".
