Spezia Calcio announce that the club have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Mattia Valoti from US Cremonese, who has signed a contract with the Via Melara club until June 30, 2026, with an option to extend under certain conditions.
Born in 1993, Valoti took his first steps in youth football with Crotone and Dalmine before joining the Albinoleffe academy, where he made his professional debut at just 17 in Serie B. After a season and a half with AC Milan’s Primavera side, he returned to Albinoleffe, making 27 appearances and scoring 7 goals in Serie C between January 2013 and June 2014. Those performances earned him a move to Hellas Verona in Serie A for the 2014/15 season. He remained with the Gialloblù until 2018, recording 65 appearances, 7 goals, and 9 assists across Serie A, Serie B, and the Coppa Italia, with a one-year Serie B spell split between Pescara and Livorno along the way.
His move to SPAL in the summer of 2018 marked his full breakthrough. Wearing the Estensi colors, Valoti spent two seasons in Serie A and one in Serie B, totaling 86 appearances with 18 goals and 4 assists. In 2021, he earned promotion to Serie A with Monza and then confirmed his value the following season in the top flight. During the 2023/24 campaign, he was a key figure for Pisa, reaching double figures in goals with 33 appearances. Last season, which began at Monza in Serie A and ended at Cremonese in Serie B, saw him secure the third promotion to Serie A of his career.
An experienced, versatile, and technically gifted midfielder with a knack for scoring, Valoti boasts 108 appearances and 9 goals in Serie A, along with 144 matches in Serie B, highlighted by 38 goals and 18 assists. He is now ready to put his qualities at the service of the Eagles, wearing the number 5 shirt.
Welcome, Mattia!
