Spezia Calcio announces that it has completed the permanent signing of Marco Ruggero from S.S. Juve Stabia.
Born in 2000, Ruggero came through the youth academy of Padova. He made his Serie D debut during the 2019/20 season with Tuttocuoio, registering 15 appearances, before finishing the campaign with Delta Porto Tolle. He then continued his career with Legnago in Serie C and Luparense, where he made 32 appearances and scored three goals.
Thanks to the experience gained, Ruggero became a regular at professional level in the 2022/23 season with Virtus Verona, making 69 appearances and scoring once. His move to Serie B came last season with Juve Stabia, where he immediately established himself as a key figure in the yellow-and-blue defence. With the Vespe, he totalled 55 appearances, contributing one goal and four assists.
Physically strong and technically sound, the 25-year-old defender is ready to put himself at the disposal of head coach Roberto Donadoni and will wear the Eagles’ number 4 shirt.
Welcome to Spezia, Marco!
