Spezia Calcio announces that they have reached an agreement to renew the contract that bound Jacopo Sala to the via Melara club, now expiring on June 30, 2024.
Born in '91, Sala has proved to be a valuable joker in the white jersey, capable of acting both on the defensive line and in the midfield thanks to a marked ductility and a willingness to sacrifice with few equals. Arrived in the Golfo dei Poeti at the beginning of the 2020-2021 season, Sala has been able to carve out an important role for himself within the dressing room and last season his experience was decisive on and off the pitch, becoming one of the reference points of one of the youngest rosters in Europe.
Seventeen appearances totaled in the 2021-2022 championship and a goal, the only one so far in the white jersey, which earned him three fundamental points in the home match won 1-0 against Torino, with the unforgettable jubilation of the Aquilotto number 7 in a "Picco" literally going crazy.
"I am delighted to be able to continue my story with the Eagles and I want to thank the Club for the trust placed in me: as always I will give my best to repay it. I have never thought about anything other than Spezia. Here I have found an ideal environment and I can't wait to wear the white jersey once again," the words of Jacopo Sala immediately after signing the contract renewal.
President Philip Platek is also happy: "We are very pleased to have reached an agreement for the renewal of Jacopo, a young man who proved invaluable in all respects last season and we are sure he will be valuable in the future as well".
A pillar of the Spezia dressing room and a valuable element in the technical chessboard: Jacopo Sala is ready to fight for the Eagles again!
