Spezia Calcio announces that it has acquired, on a temporary basis with an obligation to buy, the services of midfielder Galo Capomaggio from US Salernitana 1919.
An Argentine born in 1997, Capomaggio came up through the ranks at Estudiantes in his home country, before spending three seasons in Argentina’s third division with Defensores de Cambaceres. His move to Italy came during the 2021–22 season, where Capomaggio immediately made a name for himself with Città di Fasano, recording 8 goals and 7 assists in 34 appearances in Group H of Serie D. The Argentine midfielder’s outstanding performances caught the eye of Audace Cerignola, where he quickly became a key player in Serie C, racking up 102 appearances, 13 goals, and 3 assists. Last season, after transferring to Salernitana, Capomaggio made 31 appearances, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists.
An experienced, physically strong midfielder who excels both in build-up play and in the box, Capomaggio is ready to serve the Aquile while wearing the No. 14 jersey.
