Spezia Calcio announce that they have permanently acquired the sporting rights of midfielder Emanuele Adamo from Cesena FC. The player has signed a contract with the Via Melara club running until 30 June 2028.
A native of Naples, Adamo came through the ranks of Boys Posillipo before being spotted by Foggia, where he made his first-team debut during the 2015/16 season in a Coppa Italia match against Juve Stabia. After productive spells in Serie D with Herculaneum, Audace Cerignola and Fidelis Andria, the 1998-born midfielder stepped up to Serie C with Casertana, making 24 appearances.
The following season he joined Avellino, coming agonisingly close to promotion to Serie B, falling only in the playoff semi-final against Padova. In the 2021/22 campaign, wearing the Monterosi Tuscia shirt, Adamo delivered another outstanding season, earning a move to Cesena at the end of the year.
In Romagna he immediately established himself as a regular starter, recording 40 appearances, 4 goals and 5 assists. In his second season with the Bianconeri, he played a key role in their promotion to Serie B, featuring 41 times, scoring 5 goals and providing 12 assists. Making his Serie B debut in the 2024/25 season, Adamo went on to make 34 appearances and score 2 goals, helping Cesena reach the playoff semi-finals.
Talent, pace, unpredictability and great tactical versatility: Emanuele Pio Adamo is now ready to put himself at the disposal of coach Donadoni, wearing the number 70 shirt.
Welcome to Spezia, Emanuele!
