Spezia Calcio is pleased to announce the permanent acquisition of forward Antonio Čolak from Parma Calcio 1913. Čolak has signed a contract with the club based in Melara that extends through June 30, 2026.
Born in 1993, Čolak has played for several European teams, showcasing his talent in top-tier leagues. He began his career in Germany with Hoffenheim and gained early experience with Nürnberg, Kaiserslautern, Darmstadt, and Ingolstadt, along with a stint in Poland at Lechia Gdańsk. Čolak truly made his mark at Rijeka, where he recorded 91 appearances, 51 goals, and 15 assists, winning the Croatian Championship in 2021 and finishing as the league's top scorer with 20 goals. Following a brief period at PAOK, he continued to excel with Malmö and Glasgow Rangers, scoring 18 goals in Scotland during the 2022/23 season, including 3 in Champions League qualifiers. Last season, with Parma, Čolak helped secure the Serie B title, contributing 22 appearances and 3 goals.
A versatile and physically strong forward with a keen eye for goal, Čolak has accumulated 259 professional appearances, 108 goals, and 36 assists throughout his career. In 13 Champions League qualifying matches, he scored 8 goals, earning the title of top scorer in the European qualifiers for the 2021/22 season. Čolak has also earned three caps for the Croatian national team.
At 30 years old, Čolak is ready to join coach D'Angelo's squad wearing the number 17 jersey.
