Spezia Calcio is pleased to announce the signing of defender Andrea Cistana, who has agreed to a contract with the club through June 30, 2027.
Born in Brescia in 1997, Cistana came up through the youth ranks of his hometown club, the Rondinelle. After gaining experience on loan in Serie D with Ciliverghe, where he made 28 appearances and scored once, he made his professional debut in January 2018 with Prato in Serie C, before returning to Brescia and quickly establishing himself as a key part of the squad.
He broke into the first team during the 2018/2019 season, making 30 appearances and playing a key role in Brescia’s Serie B title-winning campaign. The following year, he featured in 21 Serie A matches, scoring against Bologna on Matchday 3 and earning a call-up to the national team for the qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia.
Over the years, Cistana became one of the most consistent defenders in Serie B and a mainstay at Brescia, where he totaled 171 appearances and scored 9 goals.
A solid and experienced central defender, Andrea Cistana is now ready to begin his next chapter in Serie B with Spezia. He will join coach D’Angelo’s squad when training resumes on Monday afternoon in Follo.
Welcome, Andrea!
