Before leaving for Milan, coach Thiago Motta held his usual pre-match press conference, in view of tomorrow's match against Inter:
"Against Bologna I think we played a good first half, while in the second half of the match we lacked continuity, both defensively and offensively.
I'm satisfied and happy with the way the lads are training, of course we can and must always improve, but now let's think about tomorrow's important match, a match that we must face to the maximum because the level of the opponent is very high.
I expect a difficult match, Inter is the best team in the league at the moment, and it will be necessary for us to play a perfect game both in terms of concentration and attitude. Another essential element will be the courage to attack them in the possession phase and try to put them in trouble.
Tomorrow we will go on the field with the best team possible, I don't want to make comparisons with previous games but think from time to time to the type of opponent we are going to face and what are the best choices for each match.
I don't think Maggiore has sacrificed himself, he has done a great job playing in different roles, I know what position on the pitch he prefers, but there are circumstances in which it is necessary for him to play in a different role and he knows it, he has the right attitude, he wants to help the team so that it works at its best.
Reca is doing well, the minutes he played against Bologna were positive, he is a player who has unique characteristics and who will be able to help the team.
Inter for me has been a great experience, my family and I have been welcomed in the best way by both the club and the fans and we have always been comfortable. I have a lot to thank to the club, but tomorrow we will take the field to fight and we will be totally focused on the game."
