The Spezia Academy project has restarted with renewed enthusiasm, returning this year with a new organization and an interesting new format. The project, presented yesterday evening in the hospitality room of the Alberto Picco stadium, was explained in full to amateur clubs in the La Spezia area, who were able to learn about its methods, timing, and objectives.
A mutual collaboration project with several specific objectives aimed at growing and improving amateur clubs in the area based on three key principles: structure, method, and support. The training of young players remains a top priority, achievable through a precise weekly training program that focuses on breaking down technical skills and individual tactical principles, analyzed in detail through visits to the field by Aquilotto youth sector coaches.
Last night's meeting was the perfect opportunity to get to know each other and explore the project's objectives in greater depth, analyzed through the contributions of some key figures in the Academy project, starting with the club's CEO Andrea Gazzoli, who reiterated the importance of establishing a collaborative relationship with the surrounding area, a region that has traditionally been very fertile in terms of the growth and development of professional footballers. This was followed by speeches from the Head of the Youth Sector, Giuseppe Vecchio, the Head of Methodology, Massimiliano Maddaloni, the Head of Grassroots Activities, Massimiliano Mazzei, and the Academy Project Coordinator, Tommaso Michelucci.
