Spezia Calcio sides with the Red Cross in raising funds to support the victims of the Emilia Romagna flooding.
The emergency that has severely affected Emilia Romagna has caused serious damage to local communities, so much so that numerous people have been forced to come to terms with the loss of their homes and consequently with considerable economic hardship. It is therefore at such a delicate time that the Club of via Melara decided to join the Italian Red Cross in raising funds for the flooded populations, offering them concrete and immediate help.
For every person who will enter the gates of the "Picco" stadium during the home match against Torino, scheduled for Saturday, May 27 at 3 p.m., the club will donate one euro to the Red Cross. Each spectator present at the match will therefore be able to actively contribute to help those affected by the flood, and therefore the presence of everyone in the stands will be able to make a difference.
Initiative that will allow to channel the support of spectators at the stadium, which for the occasion will be sold out, to the people who are suffering and need help right now. There are currently about 400 volunteers and workers of the Italian Red Cross engaged in the field, in providing assistance to the population and in restoring and cleaning the streets.
The company from via Melara, deployed in the front line in helping to end this emergency, therefore expresses its gratitude to all those who will participate in the event and declares its total support for the communities affected by the flood, in the hope that the contribution served can in some way benefit the population and the territory of Emilia Romagna.
