Spezia Calcio is proud to announce a special initiative for the match against Modena, scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at 3:00 p.m. at the “Picco” stadium.
For the first time in the history of Serie B, the Aquilotti will wear their classic white home jersey personalized with unique graphics dedicated to Fondazione Theodora, an organization that for thirty years has been bringing listening, play, and relief to children hospitalized in Italian hospitals and their families.
The uniforms feature the players' surnames in the font and colors of the Fondazione Theodora logo: a lively and instantly recognizable touch designed to celebrate the importance of imagination and smiles in the treatment of young children.
The shirt number, in a special monochrome blue Theodora version, will also be different from the standard adopted in the league, while underneath it there will be a patch celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Foundation, which has been active in Italy since 1995 and every year supports the emotions of over 35,000 hospitalized children and adolescents, and more than 105,000 family members, in 44 pediatric wards in 13 hospitals in 10 cities.
The match-worn jerseys used during the game will subsequently be auctioned on MatchWornShirt, the Eagles' official partner, and all proceeds will be donated to support the programs of the Theodora Foundation, which, with its 31 Dream Doctors—professional artists specifically trained for the hospital environment—offers individual and personalized visits through four programs: ward, surgical accompaniment, pediatric hospice, obstetrics, and neonatal pathology, playing a fundamental role in the health of the soul and ensuring quality, psychological supervision, and completely free interventions for hospitals and families.
The initiative is part of a joint venture between Spezia Calcio and the Theodora Foundation, which recently signed a two-year collaboration agreement that includes events, awareness-raising activities, the involvement of partners and the team, and moments dedicated to the local hospital community of Sant'Andrea, with a view to constant and ongoing commitment.
