The Eagles opened their preseason with a 5–0 win over local side FC Gherdëina at the "Mulin da Coi" pitch in Santa Cristina Valgardena. The home team is preparing for the upcoming Eccellenza league campaign in Trentino-Alto Adige.
After a week of intense double training sessions, every available player saw action across two 40-minute halves. Di Serio opened the scoring in the 10th minute, converting a penalty earned by Elia to record the team’s first goal of the season. In the second half, Daniele Verde doubled the lead in the 7th minute with a strike from the edge of the box. New arrival Artistico made it 3–0 in the 24th with a determined individual effort capped off by an unstoppable low drive.
Just one minute later, Fontanarosa got on the scoresheet with a well-placed header that beat the opposing goalkeeper, while Lorenzelli sealed the scoreline at 5–0 in the 32nd minute with a powerful finish from inside the area.
Also worth noting: Zurkowski hit the crossbar in the first half, and Artistico struck the post in the second.
Tomorrow's schedule includes a morning training session split into groups, followed by a half-day of rest for the team.
