Two exciting new events organised by "Scuole al Picco" took place this week, with lots of new pupils from La Spezia taking part in an unmissable tour of the renovated ‘Alberto Picco’ stadium.
The guests were primary schools from Albiano, Ragnaia and Castelnuovo Magra, which participated with great enthusiasm in the project, dedicated entirely to schools in the La Spezia area.
The project, which sees the Via Melara club open the doors of its stadium to young pupils, is based on the desire to educate the younger generation by promoting a positive sporting culture, highlighting values such as passion, loyalty, respect, fun and teamwork.
Through a journey of discovery into the world of the Aquile, various topics related to the past and present of Spezia Calcio are touched upon, including testimonies from the historic La Spezia speaker Federico La Valle, touching on the history of football fandom on the shores of the Gulf of Poets, with its characters and anecdotes, characterised by the great pride of being alongside their city's team on a daily basis.
An iconic moment of “Scuole al Picco” was the big themed quiz with numerous prizes branded by Spezia Calcio and Kariba, partners of the project, which filled the protagonists of the morning at the Picco with joy. The event then ended with the children entering the pitch and the customary photo in the stands.
