Great enthusiasm marked the return of Scuole al Picco, the long-running program that Spezia Calcio has dedicated for years to local primary and secondary school students!
The stars of this season’s first event were the children from class 3B of the “Don Antonio Mori” primary school, who had the chance to enjoy a full 360° experience inside the home of the team, a day filled with history, tradition, and lots of fun.
At the heart of this project, which sees the Club from Via Melara open the doors of its stadium to young students, is the goal of educating new generations through the promotion of a positive sports culture, highlighting key values such as passion, fairness, respect, enjoyment, and teamwork.
Through an engaging journey into the world of Spezia Calcio, the students explored various aspects of the club’s past and present, including stories shared by longtime club speaker Federico La Valle. They learned about the history of Spezia’s passionate supporters along the Gulf of Poets, discovering the people, stories, and pride that come with standing by their hometown team.
One of the most iconic moments of Scuole al Picco was the big themed quiz, featuring plenty of Spezia Calcio and Kariba-branded prizes, courtesy of the project’s partner, which brought smiles and excitement to the young participants.
The day wrapped up on the field, with the highlight of the morning: a penalty shootout under the Curva Ferrovia, giving the kids a chance to feel the thrill of the pitch like real footballers. The experience ended with a group photo beneath the Curva, the beating heart of Spezia’s fan base.
