After the match, Head Coach Claudio Terzi commented: “The performance was good. In the first half the game was balanced and we conceded a goal that was certainly avoidable, but we also had a few chances of our own to take the lead or equalize, unfortunately without success.
In the second half we continued to create several interesting situations, both from set pieces and open play, but we lacked a bit in the final pass and in the finishing. That said, we could have done better in a few crossing situations, having a little more quality would have allowed us to get to the shot more effectively. Overall, though, the players delivered a strong performance, and it’s disappointing because when you can’t win a match, you should at least avoid losing it. Today was a game we didn’t deserve to lose, and a draw would have been the fairest result.
Now we’ll take a break for Christmas, get some rest, and then restart with conviction, looking to improve on our weaknesses. Over these thirteen matches, the players have shown good progress, and we’ll work even harder to do better after the holiday break2.
