At the final whistle, head coach Claudio Terzi commented: “Today against Ascoli we delivered a strong performance from start to finish. We’ve been training well during the week, everyone is fully involved, and that carries over into the weekend matches, where we’ve been doing really well. We’ve always created a lot of chances, but now we’ve also found a defensive solidity that’s making the difference.
I’m very happy for the boys — they were outstanding today. In training they always give their all, they work with enthusiasm and enjoy themselves, and that’s fundamental. Today players who don’t often start were given an opportunity, and they stepped up with important performances. That shows everyone feels like a part of this fantastic group.
Now we have to keep going and not let up, because in soccer there’s no memory — good or bad. Every Saturday you have to prove yourself again. We’re trying to stay sharp and put in performances like today’s. I congratulate the boys, and starting Monday we’ll get back to work to prepare as best we can for the tough away trip to Catanzaro.
