Match Report - Spezia, under coach Claudio Terzi, bounced back from their recent home loss against Benevento with a commanding 4-0 win in a diffucult away match against Crotone. From the start, the game was never in doubt, with Spezia scoring two goals in each half to secure their win.
Spezia took the lead early when Nicolai found Tognoni on the right flank. Tognoni cut inside and delivered a cross that Fontanarosa headed home with precision. The second goal came in the 35th minute, as Tognoni, once again instrumental, threaded a perfect pass to Franchetti Rosada, who controlled the ball expertly and finished with a clinical diagonal shot.
The second half began similar to the first one, with Tognoni getting on the scoresheet after assisting twice. He unleashed an unstoppable curling shot from the right edge of the penalty area. Spezia remained in full control, and in stoppage time, Di Giorgio sealed the win with a fourth goal, capitalizing on a well-placed pass from Fantinati, who had slipped between the Crotone defense.
This marked Spezia’s fourth win in five matches, and coach Claudio Terzi praised his team’s performance: "The boys delivered yet another excellent performance, starting with the right attitude and immediately finding the opener. They played with intensity and focus throughout. This win is the result of the hard work we are all putting in together, and I will continue to involve everyone, rewarding the effort put in daily. Today, several players who had not started yet were given a chance, and I am very pleased with their contributions, as well as those of everyone who played, whether from the start or later on. We have a full week of preparation ahead of the Cosenza match, followed by close fixtures, including the Coppa Italia game against Monza and the league match against Frosinone. As I have said before, we will keep playing with humility, determination, and a strong work ethic, and I will make sure everyone gets their chance because this group truly deserves it".
