Match Report - An unfortunate loss in the season opener at the “Ferdeghini” for Coach Lupoli’s young Eagles, who—after taking an early lead thanks to Trentinella’s precise header off a cross from Mazzanti—saw the Rosanero stage a comeback, sparked by Bertolino’s goal following a persistent solo run. It was a closely contested match, but the Sicilians took the lead in the 35th minute when, on a cross from the right, Michelotti was unlucky and deflected the ball into his own net with his shoulder. In the second half, the Aquilotti tried to stage a comeback, but it was yet another defensive blunder that doomed the La Spezia backline, with Schirliu making it 1–3 in the 9th minute by capitalizing on a defensive error and beating Doretti from close range. Coach Lupoli’s players tried to respond, and in the 34th minute, Trentinella scored his second goal of the match, brilliantly latching onto Cassano’s deep pass and rounding the goalkeeper before slotting the ball into the net to reignite their hopes. In the closing minutes, the Whites’ final push created several anxious moments for the Rosanero defense, but the visitors’ defensive wall held firm until the final whistle, with the three points heading back to Sicily.
