Official presentation of Duccio Degli Innocenti and Stefano Gori

In the presence of Sports Director Stefano Melissano, two of the newest members of the 2024-2025 squad under coach Luca D'Angelo, Duccio Degli Innocenti and Stefano Gori, were officially introduced to the press.

"These are two outstanding players, two young men we’ve actively pursued for a while and who I’ve known for some time. Degli Innocenti left a strong impression on me during his time in the Primavera with his exceptional qualities, while Gori brings more experience but is still young and capable of realizing his full potential. I want to extend my sincere thanks to Juventus, especially Directors Chiellini and Stefanelli, who immediately offered their support in facilitating this transfer" said Sports Director Stefano Melissano in his opening remarks.

Stefano Gori added: "First, I’d like to thank Director Melissano, whom I met on the last day of the transfer window. He immediately emphasized the significance of this club and this team. Over the past few years, aside from my developmental season at Monza, I’ve had the chance to play regularly. I’m excited to get back on the field, take on new challenges, and defend the goal for the Aquile.

"I was already very familiar with the coach from our time at Pisa, so that definitely made it easier for me to quickly adjust to the systems he expects. From the beginning, I’ve approached things with great focus and determination. D’Angelo is an outstanding coach, highly effective in managing the team and motivating us. In these first few days at Follo, I haven’t noticed many differences from my past experience with him; everyone is fully committed to giving 100% at all times, without letting up.

I believe every game is an opportunity to perform well and show your value. When those performances start to stack up, it definitely makes your career path smoother. But to do that, you have to keep working hard and stay focused.

I may have spent a year without playing, but I don’t see that as an issue. I’ve been a goalkeeper for a long time, and the size of the goal hasn’t changed. My focus now is on working hard every day, giving my best to help the team achieve positive results.

The Picco? The debut was incredible. The crowd truly acts as the twelfth man on the field, cheering us on relentlessly until the final whistle. We want to give them as much satisfaction as we can."

"I see myself as a versatile midfielder, mainly a playmaker, but last season I frequently played as a mezzala. Personally, I enjoy both controlling the ball and winning it back from opponents," continued Duccio Degli Innocenti. "I aim to help the team and contribute whenever I can. In my role, having a key player like Salvatore Esposito is a real advantage. He’s a great reference point, and I often talk with him; he helps me a lot. Every training session is a valuable opportunity for me to learn and improve.

Last season was my first year playing with the First Team, and it was definitely a very formative experience. Even though Lecco was relegated at the end of the season, I grew a lot in many ways. This year, I’m focused on working hard every day to earn my spot. Ultimately, it’s up to the coach to decide when and where to play me. I’m here and ready to contribute.

Since I arrived, I’ve been impressed by the quality of our squad and the strong sense of unity within the team. I’ve been welcomed warmly and helped to settle in without any issues. I’m genuinely happy here.

The Picco? The atmosphere at the stadium has made a big impression on me. The impact of playing at home is very clear. The first two games have demonstrated that, and we’re thrilled to have such passionate fans who support us even in challenging times.
