Pio Esposito has been crowned AQUILOTTO REALE for the 2024–25 season, earning the title thanks to six individual wins in a campaign that saw him emerge as one of Spezia’s standout performers. With 19 goals to his name, the striker played a pivotal role in leading the Aquile to the Playoff Final, pushing for promotion to the top flight until the very end.
The forward from Castellammare di Stabia edged out all competition, finishing ahead of his brother Salvatore Esposito, who collected five wins, while Duccio Degli Innocenti rounded out the podium with four.
A powerful and technically skilled striker, Pio Esposito built on his breakthrough season with an even stronger showing, quickly becoming a fan favorite despite his young age. His performances, along with the many tributes received from supporters throughout the year, reflect the impact he made — culminating in six matchday wins during the 14th edition of the award, which honors the team’s best player of the season.
Pio Esposito thus takes home the Aquilotto Reale SPIGAS CLIENTI award for 2024–25, joining a distinguished list of past winners: Lorenzo Lollo, Marco Sansovini, Felipe Seymour, Andrea Catellani, Leandro Chichizola, Pablo Granoche, Giuseppe Mastinu, Tommaso Augello, Paolo Bartolomei, Matteo Ricci, Daniele Verde, the Nzola-Dragowski duo, and last year’s winner Rachid Kouda.
