After the away match against Cesena, Gianluca Lapadula shared his thoughts on the team’s performance: “Of course, I wanted to finish the move with a goal in open play, and I’m very disappointed with how the penalty turned out. There’s a lot of regret, especially considering the many chances we created without managing to score.
For a striker, goals are like oxygen, and I’m frustrated that I haven’t found the back of the net yet. That said, I’ve been through moments like this before in my career, and I know the only way out is to keep working and stay focused on the pitch.
It’s not about pressure, what weighs on me is the lack of goals. Physically, I feel great, and the staff supports me every day. The only thing missing is that final touch, but in terms of performances, both individually and as a team, we’ve grown a lot and maintained a high tempo throughout the match.
I have a great connection with all my teammates, and we put in a lot of work. Personally, I have no issues or preferences, I know we have a strong attacking unit.
I don’t want to think about Pisa; I’d rather focus on ourselves. Of course, we believe in it and will keep believing. There are still plenty of points up for grabs, and we have no intention of letting up".
