Spezia is an important step in my career. I’m coming off a long layoff, but I’m really eager to get back on the field and relive all those feelings that only soccer can give you.
Roma and Lazio have truly important youth academies where I grew a lot; however, I believe you learn the most important things playing at the senior level. Now it’s Spezia’s turn, and I have to focus exclusively on this season: I’m really motivated and ready to do my part.
I’m a very physical defender who loves one-on-one battles, with a very aggressive playing style, and I like to instill confidence in my teammates when I’m on the field.
For me, Guido Angelozzi is a key figure—like a soccer father—and I’ve shared both wonderful and terrible moments with him, during which he’s always been there for me. Being able to start over with him by my side is a true privilege: I can’t wait to repay the trust he’s placed in me.
When I played at the Picco against Frosinone, I remember that when Spezia scored in stoppage time, there was a roar that gave me chills. I can’t wait to relive all of that while wearing the white jersey.
The coach is definitely very knowledgeable—you can tell right away. He has great ideas, and that excites me. We’re a young team; the squad is all new, so it’ll take a little time to find the right chemistry, but I’m sure we’ll manage to achieve some great results.
