Match Report – Despite a strong performance, Coach Foschi’s team had to concede defeat to Genova Calcio in their home debut of the league campaign. The match opened up in the 17th minute of the first half with a goal by Mourino, who capitalized well on a set-piece opportunity.
The team showed resilience, pushing to level the score, but the first half concluded without further highlights. After a promising start to the second half by Coach Foschi’s squad, Genova Calcio struck twice in quick succession, with goals from Porrata and Zero in the 54th and 57th minutes, respectively, extending their lead to 3-0 and making a comeback increasingly challenging. Still, the team managed to get back into the game in the 80th minute, courtesy of a goal by Bernardi. However, in the 90th minute, Mourino, already pivotal in the first half, delivered the final blow with her second goal of the match, securing a 4-1 win for Genova Calcio.
