With two days remaining before the away match against Cremonese, Aquilotto coach Luca D'Angelo shared his thoughts on his team's current form: "The past two weeks have been positive. We’ve worked on many different aspects, focusing on further shaping our football identity, and I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made.
The national team players will definitely be included in the squad, and we’ll decide whether they start or come off the bench during the match.
Čolak has been training consistently, he's in pretty good shape, and is certainly available for rotation. We’ll see if he starts or comes in later.
As for the goalkeeper? I think Gori will play because he’s more prepared at the moment compared to the young Mascardi, who I hold in very high regard. Right now, I prefer to lean on experience, though that doesn’t mean it’s free of mistakes. Mascardi, however, is both the present and future of this club.
Wiśniewski? He played very well against Cosenza but struggled a bit against Cesena, just like the rest of the team. It’s normal for him to need consistency and playing time after such a long injury. I’m confident that in the long run, as he regains full fitness, he’ll have no trouble marking very fast players.
Cremonese is a very significant team, having come close to Serie A last year. They are experienced and have a well-defined style of play, so we’ll need to be tactically sharp. However, I’m confident that we can compete effectively by showcasing our strengths and the right attitude, as we have so far.
Bandinelli? Against Cesena, he brought intensity and physicality, which was satisfying. He’s an important player for us; each season has its own story, and last year he struggled with several physical issues that affected his performance. This year, I’m confident he’ll perform much better.
Djankpata is a very skilled player who needs time to develop and improve. It’s his first season with the First Team, and the physical demands are quite different from the youth levels. Degli Innocenti has had limited playing time up to now, but he’s a player I trust. He’s very committed and will find his role as the season progresses.
Reca is available, and we’re hopeful he can play on Saturday. We’ll see how much and if he starts, but he has an important quality: he can be sidelined for a while and then come back ready to perform immediately. He’s a player who deeply cares about Spezia and the team; he’s always among the first to celebrate goals and has repeatedly expressed his strong desire to stay here. His dedication to the city, the fans, and the white jersey is vital.
I believe our players understand the need to approach each game individually, always striving to overcome the current opponent, and never losing the necessary drive to prove our worth".
