We will also be seeing Daniele Verde again. He’s a wonderful person and, from a football perspective, an outstanding player. I have a strong bond with him because I believe he contributed so much to this team in every way. I wish him all the best for his career. As for Saturday, we haven't prepared any special strategies to contain him; we know his qualities and will try to limit him as much as possible.
Every match is different. In August, we played a very good game on a difficult pitch, but I expect Saturday's match to be different. The league is a whole other story, and we will need to be even better than we were in the Coppa Italia match, even though I think the team played very well then.
We have the freedom to choose the lineup, and with a busy schedule ahead, everyone will need to contribute. We will select players based on their current form and the characteristics of our opponent. We’ll also rely on the five substitutions, which we tend to use regularly.
As for Di Serio, I see him doing well. Against Sassuolo, he was only missing the goal, but he played a good match with the team. He has slightly different qualities compared to our other forwards: he’s a powerful striker, great at providing depth, and he excels when he can attack the spaces.
In Salerno, we expect a very passionate crowd, which I believe is a positive factor because playing in front of a large crowd is the essence of football. It is never enjoyable when the stadium is empty, so that energy should give us even more strength and motivation to prove we’re a strong team. We will need to block everything out, and I think we have the experience to do that.
The choice of forwards will depend on each player's condition and the qualities of the opponent. I speak with the players daily, and they are well aware of the factors that guide our decisions for the weekend.
