Another day at the training camp in Pontremoli and another voice from “Lunezia.” This time it’s Denis Cazzadori’s turn: "I feel great, and as far as the start of preseason training goes, things are looking very positive—both physically and in terms of the atmosphere.
My favorite position? I enjoy playing both as a center forward and as a second striker—I don’t have a preference in that regard. I really love physical contact; I like to fight hard and never give up.
The coach is asking me to do simple things, but to do them well. He used to be a defender, so he’s trying to explain to me which movements can cause trouble and put the opposing defense in a tough spot, and in these first few weeks, he’s been working to help me absorb all of this as quickly as possible.
The call from Spezia? It didn’t take much thought—I immediately said yes to my agent as soon as he told me about the club’s interest. It’s a major team that deserves to be competing at higher levels, and we all need to work together to ensure that Spezia can soon return to competing where it belongs.
Serie C is a very difficult and competitive league, where no game is a sure thing and where the team’s name alone isn’t enough—even the smallest clubs are tough to face. It’s a league where you can’t give up even a centimeter and where you always have to be ready to battle.
I believe that every stage of life and a career serves to help us improve and grow—in this case, both as a man and as a soccer player—and from last year’s experience in Brescia, I’ll try to bring here the same determination to help my teammates until the very end, without ever giving up or holding back.
There are a lot of young players here, but we’ve got plenty of experienced players too, and I think there’s a great atmosphere and a wonderful group to work with.
Am I any good in the kitchen? I really enjoy cooking—it’s definitely one of the things I love doing off the field—just as I really enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and my loved ones.
A message for the La Spezia fans? I can’t wait for the season to start and to make my contribution on the field.”
