From the Eagles’ summer training camp, here’s what Samuele Capolupo, a winger who joined the team this summer from Monza, had to say: “The summer training camp is going very well. Obviously, the workload is heavy at this stage, but the coach is conveying his ideas to us in every session, and what we’re doing now will be very important as the season progresses.
I expect to have a great run with the team, and personally, I’ll do my best to make myself available to the coach and my teammates, always giving my all in both training and matches.
I’m a player with great stamina who really enjoys switching positions with the attacking winger to provide support up front.
From Monza, I bring with me the humility and work ethic I learned from the many professionals I shared the locker room with, first and foremost Matteo Pessina, who was a great role model.
An idol? I’ve always looked up to Theo Hernandez, partly because I’ve always been—along with my dad—a huge Milan fan.
Spezia is a great opportunity for me because it’s a passionate and prestigious club—one I simply couldn’t pass up.
My Serie B debut? It was a chance to showcase my skills after several months of hard work and to contribute to the team.
I don’t have a preferred position on the field: I let the coach decide, and I always try to give my all in every position.
This is the first time I’ve left Monza, but I think it’s a step toward growth, both personally and professionally; this season, I expect to do a great job alongside my teammates, to work hard, and to reap the rewards of our weekly efforts during the matches.”
