Kevin Bright scored an early goal and, after the win over Atalanta Under 23, spoke to the press:
“It was a tough match, because they were really good, but we were just as good in finding the goal straight away and then the second one, which we also came close to several times during the first half. Maybe we should have been more clinical and put the game to bed earlier, but in the end we brought home an important win that was not a given, so we’re very happy and now we just have to think about continuing to work.
Am I tired after so many matches? I wouldn’t say so. We train at full intensity every day, and lately I feel even better than before. Today I got stepped on at the start of the match and it affected me a little, but I tried to hold on as much as possible to contribute to the cause.
Did I score the most difficult goal? Yes, and I was talking about it with the Director in the dressing room. I definitely need to improve a lot in front of goal and try to be more clinical when certain situations come up.
Celebrating with our fans is a wonderful feeling. We’re a fantastic group and I’m really enjoying it here. Going to celebrate in front of the Curva is a truly unique feeling, and we all love it.”
