A special evening dedicated to the presentation of the Alberto Picco Stadium modernization and renovation project was held this evening in the beautiful setting of Villa Marigola in the Municipality of Lerici.
The event was attended by President Philip Platek, the leadership of the Aquilotta club, regional and municipal authorities, the club's partners and the media.
The evening opened with a speech by President Philip Platek Jr, who said he was proud to finally be able to present to the public the Alberto Picco Stadium project, an ambitious project for the future of the Club and one that lives up to its fans.
Following are the words of President Philip Platek Jr: "I would like to thank Regione Liguria and the City of La Spezia for their support in making this important project possible. As promised, the Ownership is pursuing the next phases of a modernization project started in the summer of 2021, aimed at projecting the "Alberto Picco" stadium into the future. There remains the strong disappointment for the outcome of the recently concluded season, and today we can only look back on this day as the first part of a rebirth, with the goal of returning to Serie A as soon as possible".
The Mayor of La Spezia Pierluigi Peracchini and Regional Councillor for Infrastructure Giacomo Raul Giampedrone, from whose fruitful collaboration it was possible to bring this project to life, then took the floor.
After the speeches of the President and the Authorities, we entered the heart of the modernization plan, beginning with the presentation of the video rendering of the Alberto Picco Stadium when the work is completed. At this point, the floor was passed to Club CEO Nicolò Peri who went through the various phases of the project, from genesis to the planned completion in September 2024. The details of the works were then exposed by architect Gino Zavanella, founder of GAU Arena, the company that has been entrusted with the design of the new Stadium.
Finally, space for questions from the press and a closing aperitif to thank all the participants of the event.
