As part of a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, "Al Picco senza barriere" was created, a special initiative that will allow individuals with disabilities to experience the excitement of the Picco in a safe and convenient way.
Thanks to the collaboration between Spezia Calcio, the local association "Life on The Sea", and Porto Mirabello, a free shuttle service will be launched to transport individuals with disabilities to the Stadio Alberto Picco for home matches. The service will officially debut on Friday evening for the match against Brescia, scheduled for 8:30 PM.
Available for all remaining home matches this season, the shuttle service will offer those with mobility challenges a safe and stress-free way to reach the stadium. Participants will meet near the entrance to the Porto Mirabello parking area, a spacious and easily accessible location where association staff will assist with boarding and transportation logistics.
A qualified team of attendants will ensure that every passenger receives proper assistance, guaranteeing a comfortable and secure journey to the pedestrian crossing on Viale Fieschi, near the external elevator of the Distinti section.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Request submission
Participants must submit their request at least 48 hours before kickoff by emailing: dao@speziacalcio.com / marco.tarabugi@speziacalcio.com.
The email must include:
- The license plate number of their vehicle
- A copy of the disabled person’s ID and, if possible, the companion’s ID
- A request for stadium accreditation (if needed)
- A disability certificate
Based on the number of requests received, participants will be notified promptly of their designated meeting time.
Matchday - Arrival
Participants must reach the meeting point at the Porto Mirabello parking entrance using their own vehicle. There, an association staff member will welcome them and assist with parking and boarding.
Matchday - Return
After the game, the designated meeting point for the return trip will be the initial drop-off location. In case of bad weather, participants should gather under the covered area near the Distinti section’s elevator, once the stadium sector has cleared.
