After an extensive renovation following months of dedicated work, the CAMeC, the Modern and Contemporary Art Center of La Spezia, hosted a private inauguration today, ahead of its public opening scheduled for tomorrow.
This ambitious project, born from a collaboration between the Municipality of La Spezia and the Fondazione Carispezia, also featured Spezia Calcio as the main sponsor, underscoring the club's support for one of the city's cultural landmarks. The center, which houses an impressive collection of works, was expertly reorganized by Professor Gerhard Wolf, Director of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence - Max Planck Institute and a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.
At the inaugural event, CEOs Andrea Gazzoli and Nicolò Peri were present to gift a commemorative jersey to La Spezia Mayor Pierluigi Peracchini, symbolizing the club's close ties to the local community, where the Aquile play a comprehensive social role.
Residents of the La Spezia province will have the opportunity to visit the CAMeC and explore its extensive permanent collection at any time, enjoying a discounted rate for temporary exhibitions starting in April 2025.
