Spezia Calcio is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new partnership with MatchWornShirt, an international fan engagement platform that offers the opportunity for fans around the world to bid to win jerseys worn by the players of various member Clubs.
Prestigious collaboration that on the one hand will offer fans the chance to experience an authentic moment, wearing on their skin the jerseys worn by their favorites, and on the other hand will allow the Club to showcase its own jerseys alongside those of the world's leading football clubs.
Coinciding with the launch of the new partnership, the auction for the jerseys worn in Juventus-Spezia, the debut match of Spezia Calcio's third jersey, will also be active, with the proceeds being donated to the Cinque Terre National Park, following up on what was announced when the partnership agreement with the Park was signed.
The funds raised in this first auction will in fact be used for the realization of restoration projects in the protected area and, in fact, will allow the rehabilitation of some paths in the Cinque Terre National Park, in a perspective that is not only naturalistic, but also inclusive, in order to make the enjoyment of the beauty of our landscape open also to people with reduced motor and visual abilities.
Spezia Calcio Chief Revenue Officer Luca Scafati: "We are extremely happy to be able to give Spezia Calcio fans and all fans around the world the opportunity to collect the jerseys worn by our players during Serie A and Coppa Italia matches. This agreement with MatchWornShirt, which brings Spezia Calcio alongside the continent's top clubs on the leading international match-worn jersey auction platform, will also give us the opportunity to raise funds for charitable initiatives."
James Flude, Head of Business Development MWS: "Italy continues to be a huge growth market for us and the combination of warm local support with the passionate global fanbase makes Serie A clubs the perfect partners for MatchWornShirt. We are delighted to collaborate with another iconic partner like Spezia Calcio and are excited to see the partnership develop for the next 5 years."
