After his sixth goal of the season, this last in his hometown, Pio Esposito shared his emotions on the day: “The feeling of playing in my hometown is indescribable. Since I was little, Juve Stabia has been the only team I’ve ever cheered for, so today wasn’t just any game for me emotionally.
Playing here is tough for everyone; Juve Stabia is skilled at making things difficult because they play really well. But we did well by pressing high from the start and striking with determination.
Spezia is a solid team; we do whatever it takes to win and secure points. If it’s time to play, we play, and if a more physical approach is needed, we adapt.
Thanks to our work throughout the week, we’re strong in every area. We perform well as a unit, both defensively and offensively—it’s a team effort, and that’s our key strength in both phases.
The national team? That’ll be another exciting game. I’ve never had the chance to play on my club's field in all my years with the youth national teams, so I’m really happy to play at the Picco. It’ll be another beautiful experience".
