After the match against Cesena, a pleased Luca D'Angelo spoke to the press: "It was a fantastic finish, with the team showing great commitment and a willingness to sacrifice. If we're being honest, a draw would have been the fair result. We struggled in the first half against Cesena's speed, but the game balanced out in the second half.
Today was the first match where we encountered real challenges, as we've usually been the ones controlling the game. However, this team’s ability to persevere is outstanding, and those coming off the bench are always ready to contribute.
Regarding Sarr, he unfortunately suffered a serious injury, and we’re all very supportive of him.
The upcoming break will be beneficial for integrating new players and for recovering key players like Reca and Elia. It will also give a chance to rest those who have been playing more. Even though we’re coming off a series of positive results, this break comes at a good time to continue our progress.
Unity of purpose is essential, and ours has been solid since last January, which certainly helps. However, we need to play better than we did today. Honestly, we were a bit unlucky; we could have won at least one of the matches against Pisa or Cosenza.
Winning like this boosts our strength and morale, but we must stay focused, work during the break, and keep moving forward one step at a time. Our goal remains survival. It’s natural for fans and players to be excited about being at the top, and I’m pleased too, but right now it’s about building confidence and improving, as we’re only in the fourth matchday of the season".
